Can you do a breakdown on the Krave deal? Everytime I do the breakdown Im coming up with .79 per box or $1.15 per box. How did you get it down to .49 per box. TIA

    • Jennifer says:

  2. kelly says:

First I would like to say THANK you – You have helped me save soooo much money during a very difficult financial situation for my family. THANK YOU!!! Second – I am confused about the cereal coupons. It looks like on the krave for example that there are 2 manufacture coupons one for 1 box and the other for 3 boxes but you are only buying 3 boxes. Can you clarify this for me as I thought they would only take 1 manufacture coupon for each item. I know you can stack the store and the manufacture but 2 manufacture? Thanks Again!

    • Jennifer says:

The Target coupon is a competitor’s coupon not a manufacturer coupon. You can stack a competitor’s coupon with a manufacturer coupon at Meijer.

  3. Callie says:

I didn’t know you could do that. Have you done this fairly successfully?

    • Jennifer says:

Meijer changed their coupon policy in April to allow competitors coupons to be used at Meijer as store coupons which can be stacked with Manu coupons. I do it all the time with Target, Dollar General, CVS & Walgreens store coupons.

  4. Callie says:

OH! I just found a 5% off Grocery and Health and Beauty Products on 8/3 and 8/4 in my mPerks account.

  5. Dara says:

My Meijer told me they will only accept other stores Catalina coupons as competitors store coupons! Totally bummed!

    • Jennifer says:

That is normally not a competitor’s coupon unless it is redeemable only at that store. They are usually manufacturer coupon that can be used at any store. You need to call corporate about your store not following the coupon policy. This has been a BIG problem at many stores over the past few months and is usually cleared up by calling corporate – their number is (877) 363-4537.

  6. Callie says:

That’s great. I’ve just not really gotten the couponing aspect down pat and am now expanding into the competitors coupons, price matching, etc. The learning just never ends!

Now, can I stack the mPerk, printable internet coupon, and the competitor coupon? Such as on the Nutri-Grain deal?

Thanks for all your help and hard work on this website Jennifer. It is truely appreciated.

  7. michelle says:

Can you stack an mperk coupon with the paper ones?

  8. Jess says:

Boo my store will only let me use competitor coupons if they say “manufacturer” on them. Which, by the way, doesn’t make any sense. Is there anywhere in the Meijer coupon policy that specifically states what they will use regarding competitor coupons?

    • Jennifer says:

No but you might want to point out to the store manager that a manufacturer coupon is not a competitor’s coupon. A manu coupon can be used at any store (logo or not) and a competitor’s coupon is specific to that store. If you still have trouble call corporate and complain – their # is (877) 363-4537. I have a post with my comments on the coupon policy if you need clarification or a link to the policy: http://meijermadness.com/meijer-madness-101/meijer-coupon-policy

  9. Sarah says:

Is there a way to get a letter from corporate to keep with our coupon policies when we visit the store incase we are given a hard time? I was just questioned about this 2 days ago and I was only using 1 Target coupon, not printed- from the paper’s insert. I did explain what I was told when I worked there- that it should be manually entered as a store coupon, I wasn’t a cashier but was even told once by MY manager that it wasn’t allowed. Meijer really needs to get on the ball in honoring this!

  10. Jess says:

I called corporate today and complained about my store only taking store coupons with “manufacturer” on it. They told me it is up to each individual store. So frustrating! I told them they really need to clarify this and post a corporate wide policy. All well…..

  11. Tai says:

My store wouldnt take them till I went to customer service desk and asked them to call the store manager and to bring a copy of couponing policy because it states meijer takes competitor coupons

  12. Paula says:

If anyone is signed up to receive the Kellogg’s emails, I received a printeable .70/1 Krave one in my inbox – actually 2 because they misprinted the first email about a different promo, but included the coupons in both emails.

  13. Tim says:

    Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Bars $2.49
    – $1.00 Instant savings wyb 5 participating products (mix & match)
    $1/2 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars printable
$1/2 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars mPerks (store) coupon
    $1/3 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Target Coupon
    = $0.49 each wyb 4

(Actual cost is .74 each when you buy 4, and .89 each when you buy 5)

    2.49 X 5 = 12.45

    12.45 – 5 instant savings = 7.45

    7.45 – 3 in coupons = 4.45

    4.45 / 5 = .89 each

    • Jennifer says:

      Buy (2) Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Bars $2.49 ($4.98)
      – $1.00 Instant savings (-$2.00)
      – use $1/2 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars printable (-$1.00)
      – and use $1/2 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars mPerks (store) coupon (-$1.00)
      = $0.49 each wyb 2

    • Chris says:

      Nutrigrain bars x 5 = $12.45
      $12.45 – $5 instant = 7.45
      7.45 -$4 in coupons (use 2 $1/2 printables)= $3.45
      3.45 / 5 = $.69

      or

      Nutrigrain bars x 4 = $9.96
      9.96 – $4 instant = 5.96
      5.96 – $4 (use 2 $1/2 printables) = 1.96
      1.96 / 4 = $.49 ea

  15. Sarah says:

    Isn’t the Target Kellog’s $1/3 coupon a MQ?

  16. Sarah says:

By the way, I emailed corporate yesterday and got a vague answer:
“Both the Lenox store and the Chesterfield stores that are close to me are giving me a hard time about competitor’s coupons. Your coupon policy was revised to include their acceptance on 4/19/12 but employees and managers are telling me they cannot accept them unless “Manufacturer Coupon” is stated at the top. These are not conpetitors coupons as they are accepted everywhere. I would like some clarification and information on what to tell the employees and managers when this is denied or questioned. Thanks”

    Their response was:
    Hello Sarah
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concern. We apologize for any difficulty you experienced in our store.
I am forwarding your email to both Store Directors of the Lennox and Chesterfield Township, Michigan stores. Please allow time for this issue to be reviewed and the proper action taken.
All input from our customers is very important to Meijer. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

    Sincerely,

    Yolanda E.

My computer is acting funny and I can’t see the ad… Does the Frosted Flakes have to be a certain size?? They are on sale this week 4/$10 (or $2 each) for the 19oz-23oz… would that make them free?? :)

    • Jennifer says:

15-17oz are the sizes that are part of the Buy 5, Get $5 Instant Savings on the 2-Day Sale. If you have double coupons and you combine the $.50/1 coupon from the 7/8 RP insert and a 3rd cereal (and 2 other items from the promo) plus the Target coupon you can get 2 boxes for $.16 each! I can’t wait for this sale, It’s going to be such a fun stock-up sale!

  18. Lucy says:

There is an Era 50 cent coupon in the 7/22 Redplum.

  19. Maile says:

My Meijer’s store doubles, so wouldn’t the Keebler cookies be free (with 5 participating items)?
    2 Keeber cookie packs $2.49
    – $2.00 off instantly
    – $.55/2 manufacter pon’ RP 7/29 (- $1.00)
    – 2 $.75 Target pon’ RP 7/29 (- $2.00)
    = free

I guess if they do not double the Target coupon it would make the cookies $.25 each. I’ve only used competitors’ coupons a handful of times. Depending on the cashier he/she has not only excepted it but doubled to $1.

  20. Jashmin says:

Grrrrrr.. ran into not accepting Competitor coupon again.. it’s so frustrating!! did the cereal deal/paid $1 too much and walked out of the store all upset!
